These plates are made from food safe mud clay and are unglazed. Hand wash only. Not microwave, dishwater, stovetop or oven safe. Coffee sprinkled plates created with so much love and care by Taller Coatlicue in Atzompa, Oaxaca. This natural cave clay is shaped on a manual turning wheel with the use of tools.  Please email us if you would like to see actual pieces before sending.

Yalala is a Zapotec and Queer owned retailer and publisher based in Los Angeles, California. Yalala is a phonetic simplification of their previous name Yeaj Yalhalhj, meaning "the flower from the valley of scattered mountains" in their native Zapotec language (Bene Wurash).
